❓ How to Use Our Calendars

📅 Official Bim Bom Events Calendar (View-Only)

This calendar shows all official book club events scheduled by organizers – monthly book discussions, author events, and special announcements.

To subscribe to the entire calendar:
1. Click the “📅 View Event Calendar” button above
2. At the bottom of the popup, click “Add to Google Calendar”
3. The calendar will appear in your Google Calendar’s sidebar under “Other calendars”
4. You’ll automatically see all official events and can set up your own reminders!

To add a single event to your personal calendar:
1. Click the “📅 View Event Calendar” button above
2. Click on any event to see details (date, time, Zoom link, description)
3. Click “Copy to my calendar” or the Google Calendar icon
4. That specific event will be added to YOUR personal Google Calendar

📅 Community Events Calendar (Member-Led)

This is YOUR calendar! Members can organize informal gatherings – buddy reads, extra discussions, watch parties, or casual book chats.

To subscribe and view community events:
1. Click the “📅 View Community Calendar” button above
2. Click “Add to Google Calendar” at the bottom of the popup
3. You’ll see all member-hosted events alongside your other calendars

Want to HOST your own event?
1. Email clifflovettebookclub@gmail.com with subject: “Community Calendar Access”
2. Include: Your name and the Google account email you use for Google Calendar
3. Wait for approval (usually within 24-48 hours)
4. Once approved, you can create events directly in your Google Calendar under “Bim Bom Book Club – Community Events”
5. Your events will automatically appear for all book club members!

What you can post:
– Buddy read discussions
– Member-hosted Zoom chats
– Book-related watch parties
– Informal reading or writing sessions
– Book club social events

Community Calendar Guidelines:
– Keep events book club or reading-related
– Include clear descriptions and Zoom links (if applicable)
– Be respectful of others’ time zones
– Have fun connecting with fellow readers!

Important Note: You don’t create events ON these calendars from this website. You subscribe to them so they appear in YOUR Google Calendar app. Official events are managed by organizers; community events are added by approved members through their own Google Calendar.
