Circus Bim Bom is inspired by real events from 1990, but characters, dialogue, situations, and outcomes are products of the author’s imagination and satirical intent. All elements have been fictionalized for purposes of satire and commentary.

Several characters are loosely inspired by real individuals, including John Stagliano (p/k/a John Stallion), Bobby and Tatiana Liberman, Newt Gingrich, Yuri Turkin, the Chelnokovs, and various political figures. Any resemblance to actual thoughts, words, actions, or character of real persons is coincidental or the result of satirical exaggeration.
